I have been coming here since march/05, and I have only ever read the good things, positive re-enforcements of this board and the moderators. If reading a book is being negative, then I too am guilty, as you can't put the cart before the horse, and expect it to run backwards....can you???
Good luck to you maysea, on whatever you decide to do!!

There's a saying....you can give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day, or you can teach a man to fish, and he can eat for a lifetime.

If there's anything better that encouraging someone to learn from the source, then I don't know about it.
Personally, I feel it's better to do that than to learn second hand from others who, although they are well meaning, may or may not have the facts completely correct.

I'm sure I could do something like flying a plane by watching a friend, or seeing something about it on a tv show, but isn't it better if I go to school for it? It might help me to know the 'why' behind flying, so that I have a deeper understanding of it all.

So don't expect to hear me stop saying "Read the book!" anytime soon!

Then go back to your "other board" where you verbally rip people apart from THIS board - and stay there.

You've opened THREE threads within 24 hours to bash this board and its members. Satisfied?

Moochie - I thought you were going to quote the phrase about leading a donkey to water, but not being able to make the *** drink.

I have to admit at times there are users who for whatever reason have created an aura that I can't respond too. I don't think it is so much a clique as a personality clash with some. That is a remarkable few members though (I can't even remember anybody now except for one notorious faker/liar in ADBB's past who is no longer with us.). My goal is provide support to everybody, but I can only do that from two perspectives -- the book and my experiences. My apologies if either of those have rubbed you wrong, but as moderators we only want the most success for you.

She will be back, trust me, its just the type of person she is. I have noticed alot of really nice things being said towards her and I think its just a matter of wanting to stir things up.

I hate to come across this kind of post. First, I don't know what happened to make her feel bad, but something must have,These rude comments are just not nice and if you can't be supportive here, then its better than you say nothing at all and move on to help someone else.
:hug :hug :hug :hug We are family and we might fight, and yell and disagree, but damn it, we need to love and care for one another and get through this beast called weight. Its our enemy, not eachother. Maysea, if you get posts that you don't think appropriate, just take them off line and PM the person, and discuss it together. Its easier on all of us, and it makes this board more friendly and way more supportive. :hug
