  • Went to dr. today

My dr. told me over 64ozes of water can be too much and I should cut down.... that 120 ozes of water is WAY too much

to those of you that drink over the 64ozes a day, do you feel like it's hurting you at all?!! I don't think any of you will say yes!! I sure as heck don't think Dr.Atkins would have ever given ANYONE false information!!

My question is, should I cut back cause he said so or don't listen? I don't have to go back for another 3 months, and I just don't feel good about not getting water in me when I'm thristy

    hi Poefox,

I answered you in your other thread. Anyhow, call your doctor and ask him to figure out your daily fluid maintenance using the Holiday-Segar formula. If he doesn't want to do that (or can't because he doesn't know what the Holiday-Segar formula is), ask him why he doesn't believe the Holiday-Segar formula applies to you.

Poefox, what reason, if any, did your Dr. give for telling you that 120oz. of water isn't good for you?

I mean yeah, you can actually die if you drink too much water - but 120oz. ?!?!? ensive

Poefox, there are studies coming out lately about drinking excess water, mostly that it runs thru you so fast, the vitamins and minerals don't have a chance to be absorbed.
Just make sure you are taking your vitamins and maybe monitor when you take them so they don't get flushed right out.
