  • I'm so sorry, but

    I have to say good bye.

    According to all the tests another doctor ran, it turns out Atkins is the wrong diet for me. So I don't feel like I should stick around. Thank you for all the encouragement you gave me, but I'm moving on. Especially since it was recommended that I go on a strict diet through the doctor.

    Thank you again.

      Yeah, I would love to know what tests were run. I'm guessing blood work. How long were you on this WOE before having blood work done? My doctor told me to wait 6 months before getting my blood tested, and everything came out great.

          probably her cholesterol ...mine was really high at my last visit after making goal!!! .....I never had high cholesterol in the past and hope it was just a wierd rebound or something so I will have it checked again in a few months...but it was horrifying after never having a problem making goal and then it going through the roof! I never told him I was on a diet btw!

            {{{kitty}}}

            You know, a year ago, my Doctor said the same thing.

            2 weeks ago, I went to see him. We ran tests, he took my weight, my blood pressure and some blood.

            His jaw had to be scooped from the floor. I'm not only incredibly healthy, but my blood pressure is normal, my blood tests came back healthy and I'm over 100 pounds lighter than I was the last time he'd seen me! He officially removed me from all medications!

            I am not telling you to undermine your doctor and follow this WOE, but I think that Doctors can be sometimes extremely narrow-minded. Mine is currently having to re-think the Atkins way of eating.

            Blessings to you! I wish you health and happiness!
