That's what I meant, yes. Words like that can easily move a person to feel shame though, that's for sure, but that might be a catalyst as well.

We all needed a wakeup call to spur us to start taking charge.

While I'm trying to see it from the doctors side, I'm not completely defending the doctors here...as I said, I've been in my share of 'mill' offices as well. I don't like being looked at like I'm the means to that new golf cart, or a car for his kid, yanno?

I hear you, sharon. I'm excited my doctor noticed, but my next one will get me as a newbie. So he'll inherit me as a fatty fatso with 100 pounds to lose.

The first words out of his mouth will probably be, "You're morbidly obese and you need to lose weight."

*hehe* He would probably give the same answers most doctors do, which would be "eat well-balanced meals and exercise regularly"

- problem is this advices isn't necessarily enough.
