  • Nausea

I'm extremely nauseas today, and I really don't know why. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this? I hope I'm not getting sick. There is nothing in the world worse to me than nausea and vomitting.

Pre-Atkins, I would have eaten something starchy to get some relief. That's obviously not an option. I'm still doing Induction. Any suggestions?

P.S. I've been doing Induction for a few months now, so it's not Induction flu.

I sip ice cold water when I'm nauseated and it works fabulo! I agree, that habits die hard, but the cold water really does help me. Slow sips!

Try something with carbonation in it, like diet soda as ttdriver suggested. The bubbles help a lot!

That's always what I do to help with naseau or stomach aches, even pre atkins.

my mom used to give me club soda (soda water) when i was a kid and was feeling sick.

It did always work but unfortunately i now associate the taste of club soda with being sick.

You could also try Pepperment (or spearmint) tea. Don't know if its ok for induction or not, but its a fairly mild tea so no need for sugar. Old Wive's tales sometimes work!

Ginger ale with some of the bubbles stirred out of it has always worked for me - except when I was pregnant. NOTHING got rid of that nausea!

Warm tea always worked for me, no sweetner though. If you're still nauseaus try some peppermint gum. Hope you're feeling better!
