there has been 180 some odd earthquakes in cali in the past week. Also some off the western coast of Mexico and in Chile....I wonder if these are related to the Tsunami months ago? Plate shifts causing magma to start flowing underground...which cause more plate shifting..

When I was still back in Vancouver, Canada, (where I grew up and was living till we moved here), I remember I felt an earthquake back in 2001. I remember I was out in the mall, and I actually felt it like the floor had rolled up, the memory was so vivid. They reported the earthquake as being around 5 on the richter scale. Was definitely scary!

I am really happy to hear everybody is fine !!!
Earthquakes are weird, I felt one years ago ones, I thought I was having a dream (I actually had just lied down in bed) next day I found out it really was an earthquake, weird for the Netherlands cause we never really have them.
I hope for you californians it stays with only this one....

I'm glad everyone is Ok - the thought of earthquakes petrifies me, here in the Uk we're lucky we don't have them. I've always wanted to visit Tokyo but I've heard they have them every day and I'm too much of a wuss to face that!

It wasn't bad at all. Just lasted a few seconds. No damage. No one was hurt. They did have another one this morning in Northern CA.

I felt it, it wasn't very strong where i am (in van nuys), it was a roller so it was kind of fun lol. I've lived here for about 3 years, and have only felt about two minor quakes.

When I visited Japan and was in Chiba (right by Tokyo), I felt a really strong earthquake and the apartment I was in was swaying back and forth. THAT was scary!! :yikes
