  • The Ceremony Of Weighing Myself

Since I got my new scale I'm right back into the swing of things - I will now weigh myself every morning.

I have quite the ceremony and would love to hear how any one else goes about weighing themselves.

FIRST I only weigh myself AFTER I have gone to the bathroom. I NEVER weigh myself after my shower, always before - you KNOW that those drops of water have to weigh something.... I have to be buck naked - not even a bra or underwear....

I always laugh at myself because I can't deviate from this little ceremony. I have to rid myself of all extra weightbearing items.

Do any of you have any crazy ways regarding getting on the scale? :confused

I do it EXACTLY the same way as you do. Although once I did weigh myself after my shower and after my hair dried and I was amazed to see that it was .5 pounds lighter.

My ceremony is the same too!

But like Debbie mentioned, I do notice that after the shower, the scale is slightly lighter! Maybe it's like a sauna effect and sweat gets washed away? I have no idea lol.

Yup, same here too! I may even weigh myself a second time if I have an extra pee before I drink water or eat. Although how my weight sometimes goes up at those times is still a mystery to me. ensive

I'll have to try after the shower - but I have very long hair that takes a long time to dry!

Hehe Barelysane, I have exact the same ceremony.
When I step up the scale and think 'Uh?', I go off and on again. What am I thinking. My weight will suddenly be less?
I also did notice that right after the shower you could be a little lighter. It's all a big mystery to me!
O, and I write it down in a scheme... and the scheme goes back YEARS! (weight every day, measurements and ketose-test once a week).

I weigh once a week. Saturday mornings. This causes me to be a little more cautious about what I eat on Friday. I usually stop eating earlier on Friday than I do during the rest of the week as well. I wake up early with anticipation, tiptoe to the bathroom so as not to wake my hubby. I use the potty, stripping all the while, then step on the scale a-natural. If it has been a wooshie week I bounce back into the bedroom and wake up my hubby for a little reward!!!!! If it was just a say -0.5 lb week I will make my weigh-in announcement when he wakes up. Needless to say he really likes the wooshie fairy

Same here, but after the shower.

It's funny if I forget to weigh and I'm already getting dressed for work. I will undress and weigh.

God forbid I miss a day, I have spreadsheets to keep updated. LOL

I usually light 4 candles in order of color (red, then blue, green then white) then I remove my clothes and put on the cerimonial loin cloth. I turn three complete revolutons clockwise and two counter clockwise (accept during the equanox or high tide at which time its 4 clockwise and 3 counterclockwise). I sing the last three verses of the irish pub song "Oh Flannigans Flounder" and coo like a pigeon. Then and only then is it time to mount the platform of prophecy.

Not really. Every morning, after the bathroom and before breakfast and the gym. The scale is my master.

ROFL! You people CRACK me up! hehe! I too weigh every day...a lot of people say not to, but I can handle it. I like to see my daily success because a lot of times since I am still pretty new to this diet I will try new foods and I want to know if they might possibly be stalling me...It doesn't bother me when I don't lose because I KNOW I'm not gonna lose every day, maybe not even every week...but today for instance is awesome so far because I am down 3lbs!
