Purely Hypothetical Question.....

  • Purely Hypothetical Question.....

    So.....if someone were to go off program and buy a box of chocolate, which would be more damaging:

    1. Sit down and eat the whole box in one sitting, assuming that you go strictly back on program the following day (yes, it would be hard, but this is the assumption you are given)

    2. Eat 1 piece every day for 2 weeks, but otherwise stick to program

    Which would be worse? Is it any better to be completely bad one day than to be a little bit bad everyday?

    Remember....not asking permission to do either, just posing the question!!

    I think #2 would be worse.

      The best option would be to chuck it in the trash. Or you could do option one and sit on the crapper for a day. Option 2-- worst of all-- have a piece a day until they are gone and most likely go out and buy another box, because you are now acustom to a piece a day. hypothetically

        Uhhh -- how big a box are we talking about here?

        A big box, so that you have a piece every day for a month or two? Unless you are doing some serious exercise (like a maniac) then you kicking up your carb intake a lot with that one piece, and doing it every day. So, I think that's worse.

        So, if you just chow the whole thing down (which would be my personal approach, hypothetically, since the rest of the box would be tormenting me!), you could then just move on! Although, if it's a big box, it might take a couple of days!

          well now that will depend on you. you will do more blood sugar damage eating the whole box in one day then having just a piece a day as a part of your net carbs. lets say each piece was the same as a Hersey's kiss. There are 2.55 net carbs in one so you would not be doing a whole lot of damage eating just one, if you are able to eat just one a day. :yikes

          Most carboholics can't stop at just one and would be eating a bag a day :yikes :yikes instead, so for them the one a day would be worse then just sufferring the blood sugar spike from the whole back and restating Atkins.
