    Duh...it just hit me.
I have just over 20 pounds to lose to get to goal.

I started with a desired loss of 69 pounds..and I only have 20(plus a little bit) left to lose.

I'm a little speechless here and a little bit in shock....lol

I have to remind myself how far I've come in the last year instead of lamenting over what still needs to be done.
I've been feeling a little rough lately because my weight loss has slowed down, but I realize that this is just the normal course of things.

I used to quote a little thingy that I saw on somebody's sig line
"A year from now you'll wish you had started today" and wow...is that ever true!

Congrats, Moochie!!! You have done so well with your weight loss!!!! :icondance

When I first started this woe, 55 lbs to lose seemed like an eternity away. Isn't it amazing how quickly the time passes...the last year has flown!

Like someone said to me when I lamented how long losing this weight would take "you will still be the same age next year, whether you lose the weight or not". How true!

Thank you for sharing your success! You are an inspiration!

Congrats on being so close to your goal. I know how you feel about the slowing down of the weight loss, I actually just read one of your stickys about how losing weight is sporatic, it really helped me get back in focus and not lose hope. You look amazing and all of your hard work has really paid off, keep on keeping on and you'll be at goal in no time.

Fantastic Moochie!! You really deserve everything you lose!! Your posts are an inspiration to all.

Isn't it strange (and wonderful) how time flies on Atkins? I too find myself suddenly close to goal (three kgs away), and I can't quite believe it! Another thing is, the WOE seems to get easier as you go along, and I don't think wholly due to the OWL extra choices... it just becomes more automatic. I no longer drool when passing patisserie shops anymore.

                    Congrats on your terrific progress!

                        lol

Thanks everyone! I have a little sheet with my calculations on it and I've lost 47 pounds.
                        When did that happen?
I've been stuffing my face for a year and dropped 47 pounds.
                        Who'da thunk it?
                        I've been telling people I've lost 'around 40 pounds'...lol
Honestly, it just seems like a month ago I started the plan and then woke up 47 pounds lighter. It's just sort of surreal.

I just got myself a 'Live' bracelet...you know the 'Live Strong' etc.
Mine is green and it says "Live Healthy' and it's a great inspiration to me.
I'm not sure what the message really has to do with, but I know what it means to me, and I love it. :yes

Huge congrats to you!! I've only been here just over a week but I knew almost instantly all the help and encouragement you give around here....and rightly so with your success!! Well deserved, missy!!

So true, so true. My best friend was working in an office 9 years ago...she was contemplating starting her law degree (which would, for her, include undergrad....so 7 years total) but thought was a loooong time to be going to school...almost decided not to until her co-worker said to her, "Those 7 years will go by ANYWAY....so, go for it!"

Today, she is a lawyer because of what that girl in the office said. :yes

When I think about how long it will take me to lose my weight....I think about being pregnant for 9 months....I've done it 4 times....and I know all too well how, at the beginning you just can't wait until the little babe comes and it seems like 'forever' until s/he gets here.....then, in the blink of an eye, the babe is in your arms.

THAT, is how I'm thinking about my weight loss....if I can wait 9 months, 4 times, I can wait for this....and it certainly keeps me going. :joy

                              Congrats again Moochie!!!
