Hello, everyone.
You may or may not remember me. I only posted a few times, though I've been lurking for a long time. I figured I'd come here with an update.
Here's my story:
I was unhappy with myself. I didn't like the fact that I used food as comfort. I didn't like the fact that I was overweight. I didn't like the fact that I could eat 3 pieces of cake in a sitting.
So, I decided to browse the internet for Before and After pictures to help me get motivated. That search brought me to this Bulletin Board. The Before and After pictures were absolutely amazing! I immediately decided to give the Atkins way of living a try.
Long story short, I am no longer eating the Atkins way.
It has helped me more than I could possibly imagine, though. It taught me how to eat correctly. I no longer drink soda, I no longer crave sweets and junk food. I've learned how to say no. I've trained myself to like salad. I actually prefer to have a hamburger without the bun. I use splenda instead of sugar. I've just been making healthier choices and I actually enjoy the food I'm getting to eat.
You could probably compare my diet with the later rungs of Atkins. I just don't count carbs or calories and I don't feel like I cheated if I want to try a tiny piece of cake or something.
Anyway, I better end this, if anyone is even still with me at this point. Lol.
Once again, thank you. This place was more inspirational than I could have imagined. You have all changed my life.
Good luck and happy losing.
