I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on something that has been bothering me for a while.
First off, I love Atkins and the Atkins WOE. I'm a 26 y.o male, 6'4"...I was on Atkins for all of 2004 and went from 225 lbs, 23%BF to 180 lbs, 14%BF.
I careened on and off throughout this year, but after getting sick of gaining and losing the same 10 lbs..I've decided to go back on Atkins full-blast. The only thing that bugs me is the whole BF thing. My main goal is to reduce my BF % and get a nice, tight, lean look. However, although I know ketosis is supposed to be the fastest way for the body to burn fat, it used to take me normally 3 weeks before I would go down one percent. Is this normal? Too slow? Too fast?
I weighed myself this morning after one week of induction. I lost about 3.5 lbs...but according to the digital scale, I went up 1% BF. Can this be accurate or a fluke?
