Well, I took a break for camping for 2 weeks and gained almost everything back. Good thing is I didn't have much to lose, so I won't have much to lose to get back to where I was.
Anyway, since I am re-inducting my boyfriend decided to start with me! I am so excited! We started together yesterday. It's so cute because he's all confused-like about everything. "Can I have bacon?!?... can I have eggs?! ..... I CAN'T HAVE KETCHUP?" He wants to lose maybe a little over 20 lbs and get to 200.
But his mom... I don't mean to use language but she's being a B&*!$ about it! She complains ALL THE TIME!
We went shopping today for more food for him because all they have is CRAP and CANDY and BREAD in their house.
We brought home some fresh vegetables, meats, and some diet soda. The first thing she says ... well screams literally "You CAN'T have DIET soda!! It's BAD for you. It actually has MORE sugar than regular soda!! I READ things about it! I am NOT allowing you to bring anymore into MY house!!"
First of all, it's illegal to put a false food label on anything. If you compare regular soda with diet, you can see that regular has around 50g of sugar in it!! Diet has zero!! And there's nothing wrong with it! Why is having a soda full of sugar better for you than one without!??!?
We start cooking our steaks on the barbecue and she freaks out and says "OMG, there is SO much fat on Atkins. It's so BAD for you. #&^*(&."
Umm let's see here. SHE EATS STEAK ALL THE TIME! She loads her food with butter and fat AND eats all the sugar and bread TOO! What is wrong with eating the SAME THINGS but TAKING OUT certain foods like sugar, candy, bread, etc??? Also, you can choose to eat healthy fish or chicken breast if you want. There is nothing wrong with Atkins!
He took out the calcium, magnesium, and potassium supplements and starts to take them and she starts to complain again! "If you just ate a BANANA then you wouldn't have to take all that!"
She says "You can't just go on some eating plan that SOMEONE ELSE has been on. You can't just DO that. It's not for you!"
"I am sending you to the doctor! This is unhealthy!"
I, personally got checked up at the doctor a month ago while eating this way, and they said I was as healthy as I could possibly be. So there.
She pisses me off! She treats him this way in front of me... even though she knows I have changed my eating styles a long time ago. I think it's very rude.
Why do you think she's acting this way? I think she's jealous for some reason. She's overweight too but maybe thinks she's too good for this lifestyle. Whatever. I don't know. Stupid butthole.

my boyfriend's mom drives me NUTS about eating the atkins way! i swear she tries to sabatoge (sp) me! she'll make double layer cakes and "swear" that the angel food cake is really low carb, she'll offer me EVERY carb in the world just to start something when i decline. she throws low CALORIE food in my face all the time and tells me how healthy it is...like i am not going to know. she tries to make me feel like i am inconviencing HER because apparently i am a picky eater now. she acts like she has to prepare specialty meals or something. last time my bf and i visited, she (in a snotty voice) asked if i was still not eating carbs? and i said i've never NOT been eating carbs, i've been reducing my carbs and choosing to eat them from natural sources such as vegatables as oppossed to processed and junk foods. that shut her up for the moment. then she asked if i would eat pizza!! i calmly told her that no matter what "diet" you were on...i didn't think pizza was the way to go when trying to lose weight. but honestly...she has nothing but negativity to offer about MY lifestyle choice. and this is coming from a woman who has been recently diagnosed with type II diabetes because of her weight and lifestyle! obviously people will not change until they are ready and willing..but i just cannot believe how she wants to point the figure at me about how "unhealthy" my diet is! phew. haha sorry this topic really gets me going.
i do not want to be rude to this woman who one day may be my mother in law...
...but sometimes i think i am going to lose it!
