  • Im back, married and need to lose weight

I was trying to do atkins before my wedding (july 03 2005) and it was hard... Im going back on atkins july 19 2005, and I need some advice. Im about 138-140lbs and Im 5"5. do I go back on induction or ....? for the life of me, I cant stand fitday, I hate recording stuff and Im lost at reading the atkins book. 3-4 years ago I lost 30-40lbs and I've basically gained 5 or lost 5 but not anymore than the original loss. soooooo I want to be 120lbs so should I be on induction? sorry for the rambling!
here is a pic of me at my wedding:

Re: Im back, married and need to lose weight

Congratulations on your wedding! You and hubby make a beautiful couple!

Induction.... absolutely. A clean 2 week induction go get your metabolism switched back over to a fat burning machine. Drink your water, take a really good vitamin w/o iron.

I highly recomend getting that book back out and re-reading it. It is a very helpful tool and packed with all the information that you need to succeed......... for good.

Come on over to the Second Time Around Forum and see if it is helpful to you. There are lots of us on our second (or more) time around.

Congrats on your wedding! Beautiful wedding picture!

Sometimes we have to do things we don't want or like to do in order to succeed. Reading the book, and recording into fitday, will help you see what exactly you are eating, and understand what you should be eating. I find those 2 to be major reasons for my success so far, and of course coming to this board! Congrats also on coming back so soon, and good luck!

As discussed in a recent thread you dont have to use fitday or any other website to record your carb intake - ordinary pen and paper is fine for some people - just make sure you do count carbs in the way you find convenient.
I would agree with the member who suggested that you do a 14-day clean induction then move on up the OWL ladder to find your CCLL and whether any foods affect you badly.
And re-read your DANDR 2002 just to confirm you haven't forgotten or mis-remembered details too.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
