  • Feeling good, feeling bad...physical rollercoaster

I just started the Atkins diet. I have never been on this diet before, but that doesn't mean I have tried dieting in the past. However, I have never experienced these physical problems with any of my previous diets. I am on Day 4. I have lost 6-7 pounds already and you would think I am feeling great.

On Day 2, I got so sick with dizziness, headache, stomach ache, that I had to go home from work and lie down.

On Day 3, in the morning I was sick and then got better in the afternoon once I took a multi-vitamin.

Now on Day 4, I have stomach cramps and had a headache earlier this morning. I just ate lunch and my headache seems to have subsided somewhat, but the cramps are getting worse.

I am concerned that this diet is hurting me physically. I'm hoping it is short-term.

Has anyone else had these problems? If so, did they go away quickly?

    All comments are appreciated.

    Thank you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of induction flu! The bad news is, it really, really sucks. The good news is, it means you're following the plan and it will go away soon!

Just hang in there and take advantage of a little extra rest...
