  • Iam Down

I started a week ago and now 10 lbs. are gone,
    • My only problem is I still want something sweet, chocolate, a donut, but I know once I have it I won't be able to stop at one .

Great news on the 10# loss! Thats awesome

Back away from the chocolate! Those cravings just blindside you once in awhile and they are quite annoying as far as I am concerned. I havent used it but have heard the L-Glutamine works really well if you find this wont go away or happens alot. Sometimes if I eat something that has a hidden sugar in it or if I am doing too much splenda sweetened items that sweet tooth comes out of no where.

Hang in there............. guzzle some water!

Now tell me, which makes you feel better, 10 pounds less or a donut?

            Re: Iam Down

woo hoo whew congrats on that kind of down. I thought for a minute it was going to be a down cause something wasn't working with your Atkins.

Glad you realize as a carboholic we can't stop at just a bite and a binge is only a bite away. Your brain is realizing something is going on with you and chocolate fixed it in the past so it is prescribing it for you. The chemicals that mimic neurotransmitters in your brain are very similar to exercise generated chemicals so take a walk when you get that I want chocolate feeling or workout. Some folk can use meditation but I've never mastered that as all I can meditate on is the food i want.

            Happy low carbing.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It is a good feeling especially when 10 lbs feels like more when I put on clothes, I guess it the inches also.

Yeah, you know the simplest answer is: Just don't do it!

I jst promised myself that no matter how good something looks or how much I think I want it, that 10 seconds it takes to chew me really comes back to bite ya later on.
