  • Help...Fatigue question!!!

    I am on day 7 and I know I am suppose to have energy but it seems everytime I eat, I get sleepy after.

    For example, I just ate a cup of brocoli and ribs with no sauce, but now I am sleepy.

    Even when I am not eating I am not bursting with energy but I don't feel bad either.

    Do anyone have an suggestions or ideas??? I looked in the book and it really doesn't say anything about being tired like this, unless I missed something.

    My first time on Atkins this happened to me (but not until several weeks into the program) and that is when someone reccomended vitamin b-complex to me. It did help. Are you taking a multi vitamin daily? Getting plenty of water?

      I am but I didn't take my vitamin for today. We do have B complex supplements, so I think I will try that also.

        Yes indeed, I was about to ask if you are taking your vitamins and drink your water.
        On top of that, not everybody is the same, so some people might take longer to get adjusted to this way of eating than others.
        Keep on losing !!!!

          It may have little to do with Atkins and a lot to do with the weather. Isn't there a huge heat wave in the mid-west right now? I'm baking here in Calif. and feel like I've been hit by a mac truck.......sluggish, no energy, just want to take a nap (and I already took one today!).

          Drink your water, stay cool, increase your fats a tiny bit. Definately make sure you take your vitamins and the B-12 complex!
