Re: What is your favorite recipe

Here is a good one for you! My brother sent me some Red Chilie sauce from New Mexico. You take some Pork tenderloin, cut it up into slices, brown it and throw it in a crock pot.. You pour the chilie sauce on top and let it cook for about 5 hours. Scramble some eggs, throw some cheese on top of the eggs, pour the meat and chilie sauce over the top and wahlaaaa... It is called Carne Adovda and is usually made into a burrito but I eat it without the tortialla! It is awesome! I would be happy to get some of this red chilie to those that are interested!

We make philly cheese steak at our house and it is just out of this world IMO. I look forward to this meal when we have planned for it. Instead of bread we plate the main ingredients on a saucer on a slice of provolone and then top with mozzarella. Serve with romain lettuce salad and magic happens.

We make a version of stuffed peppers that I am not sure where the recipe came from. Either one of the sites or Food Network. My hubby's favorite thing to watch. He uses those ingredients, but starts with feta cheese in the bottom and layers with some plum tomato. Tops with mozzarella instead of cheddar. Very good stuff man, very good stuff.

We use deli roast beef sliced sandwich thick. Then when we are ready to cook we slice it long ways.

            1 onion
            1-2 bell peppers

sauteed in butter or olive oil, when they are almost soft add you meat and a couple of splashes of worcestershire and about 1/2 cup water, let simmer until thickened.

Plate with all the good cheese.

My favorites? The list is just too long. But they many times involve cooking on a hardwood fire!

Re: What is your favorite recipe

My favorite recipe right now is Bikergoddess' Pizza! I don't indulge in it too often though, because it has a LOT of cheese, but I think I like it even more than real pizza!

What I do is I spread the crust mixture into 2 baking dishes instead of one, because I like a thinner crust; the recipe makes a pretty thick one that tastes too eggy to me. Plus, then you have more pizza! (it refrigerates and microwaves well)

                    4 oz softened cream cheese
                    4 eggs
                    1/3 cup heavy cream
                    1/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
                    1 tbs chives
1/2 tsp Italian or pizza seasoning
2 cups shredded cheese (I use mozzarella /cheddar mix)
1/2 tsp wet garlic or 1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup lowest carb tomato or pizza sauce
                    1 cup mozzarella cheese
Toppings to taste (I use pepperoni, sausage, green olives, whatever!)

Beat together cream cheese and eggs till smooth.
Add cream, parmesan cheese and spices
Spray 13x9 glass baking dish with oil
Put 2 cups of shredded cheese in dish and pour egg mixt. over Bake at 375 for 30 minutes
Spread with sauce and then add your toppings
                    Cover with mozzarella cheese
                    Bake till browning and bubbly
Let stand for 5 minutes or so.
