  • It's the silly things!

What things have made you laughed at yourself lately? I'll start.

This morning was my weigh-in day. I always weigh after getting out of the shower (you know, to rinse of that extra tiny little bit!). I got out of the shower, dried myself off and wrapped the towel around my waist. Just as I was about to get on the scale I took off the towel from around my waist so as not to weigh it as well. I got on the scale, checked my weight and got off. I grabbed the towel from around my shoulders and ahah! silly silly me! I took the towel from around my waist, to not weigh it, and then put it on my shoulders. I always enjoy a good chuckle at my own expense!

By the 'weigh,' a wet towel weighs about 1 pound (3500 carbs).

Lol, I've done things like that, the one that sticks out at me the most is the other morning I got up to run. Now, I've programmed myself, just to get up and get ready because I am not awake, so kinda like on autopilot. I went out the door with two different shoes on and no undies...lol

I always weigh myself first thing in the morning after peeing. I always thought that if you weigh after taking a shower, your hair is all full of water, and your skin has absorbed a lot of moisture as well... I think water weighs a lot more than some specks of dirt.

      Not that is matters much

We all overthink the weighing thing a little too much

I know, it makes no sense. I have long hairs to boot which holds lots of water, but a routine is a routine. I think before the shower I'd leaning against the wall which isn't very accurate either.

Actually, I have weighed myself before and after a shower before, for curiosity sake. I found that after shower and my hair dried, when I weighed myself I was .5 pounds lighter than I was before my shower. I have heard from others on the board that it was the same for them too. I still normally weigh myself before my shower since I let my hair air dry and I normally want to at least drink something before it's totally dried.

Hmmm...I always weigh more after the shower. I wonder what the difference is?

I take long HOT showers. It could be that while standing in the hot water, you are sweating at the same time. "A pint is a pound, the world around" so it would only take sweating 8 ounces to make a half pound difference.
