I was a supporting member, but was unaware that it was going to be automatically taken out of my PayPal account once a year. When it got deducted, I had no idea what it was for. When I finally figured it out, after alot of running around, I emailed the administrator here to see what the charge was for, and he never responded back. I got a little miffed about that. I like to contribute, but don't want it just taken out without my knowledge.

i'm sorry for the 'miffed' and the ignore, marilyn. can i be sure you sent the conversation to Tom???? try sending further communication to Kent and see if the gets you a response.

It's been a couple of months now, but I sent the email to the account owner that was taking the yearly payments.

Wow Marilyn, thats crazy. I hope it wasn't a lot of money. Go to PayPal and tell them that it was an unauthorized withdrawl and they will get your funds back I am sure. If not complain loud and long. That should not have happened.

I did that after I emailed here and didn't get a response back. PayPal said it was a valid payment, but I was able to stop all future payments.

YOu must have signed up for automatic payment and not known it. Sorry about that. PM Tom and tell him what happened. You might not get your money back but at least he will know!!!!

You're probably right... it was in the fine print somewhere and I overlooked it. I don't mind donating here, but I don't want it to be taken out without me doing it. I'll just leave it as is.. I have learned to be more careful.

I know it can be easy to forget the terms when you sign up for something, and I of course don't know what the terms were when you contributed, but I do remember mine --- terms saying it would be an auto renewal at the time of expiration. It has happened to me a few times for other things such as greeting card sites---when I didn't expect an auto renewal. I don't know if it mentioned a reminder or not.

I wouldn't forget terms.. I didn't see them. I wouldn't sign up for an automatic renewal because I don't know when and if I'll have funds in the PayPal account. I used to have the title 'Supporting Member'. Gone now.

I just copied and pasted this from the Supporting Membership drop down up on top...this is what mine said. If they renewed you, you at least should have had the "Supporting Member Title" as you said. Sounds like your whole situation was a series of mess ups.

I can't undo the Paypal part - Tom is the only one who can do that. I can certainly credit you for your support with the appropiate privileges (title just being one of them). Sorry for the mess up, and I can at least do what I can.

I don't even remember how I paid in the beginning... and don't even know if I've paid every year or what?
