Okay, I went to the website Perry sent me showing the USDA food pyramid, put in my age, sex and activity level and it showed me how much of each food group I should eat from.
Well, I was really only interested in the veggies/fruit/grains, so I went to my Fitday and did a sample of a daily intake of these items based on what was recommended for me, using foods I already eat. I'm a top rung OWLer.
I ended up with 143 grams of carbs, with 47 grams of fiber = 96 net carbs.
47 grams of fiber? Yikes, I'd probably be in the potty all day and night!!
Does anyone who is at goal even eat that much fiber?
730 calories, just for those 3 food groups. And I swear, if I ate that much of each of these groups, I wouldn't have room for anything else!
