    For those who are looking at this post are probably Fat or Curious but either way its interesting and entertaining right?

    Losing 80 pounds in 4-6 months wasn't easy and it took great determination and great motivation to come this far. Right now I weigh 140 pounds and my goal is 130-135, currently 18 years of age, and I think im healthy :P. Before I use to weigh 220, smoked 1-2 packs of cigarettes a day, drank Soda 24/7, ate a whole pie of pizza almost every day, and ate alot of fast food... and the result was slow metabolism, overweight, and anti-social. While I was "Fat" I was very anti-social and was laughed at because I was overweight but I don't blame em since it was my fault due to my carelessness.

    I, then started to look up stuff on the internet about losing and such. I found Atkins and followed its program for a month and lost 15 pounds. I gave up smoking, drinking soda, and eating fast foods (except subways) in the process. The second month, I was stressed out and started doing my old bad habits again and I gained 5-10 pounds back. The third month I did atkins like I did in the first month and lost about 20 pounds and I gave up my old bad habits again but for good this time. The fourth and the fifth month I started to lift weights, jogg for 10-20 minutes, eat low-carb food, and started to go out more... as a result I lost 45 pounds. At the end of the 5 months I lost 80 pounds and I feel great!

    My Menu,

    Morning - 2 cooked Eggs, 2-4 slices of bacon, vegetables, and water

    Lunch - 2-3 grilled chicken with lettuce, grape, and lots of water.

    Dinner - I really didn't eat dinner but sometimes I ate a small amount of fruit (apple,grape, orange).

    My menu does seem small but I survived with it and came this far with it. The most important thing to do while losing weight is to drink at least a gallon a water each day and walk or jogg 10-20 minutes each day. Smoking, Soda, Fast food, and doing nothing each day can make your life miserable in the long run.

    I'm currently in my 6th month and im feeling great. I am still jogging 10-20 minutes each day and sticking to my menu each day (maybe 1-2 fast foods each month). In order to succeed you need a great amount of determination and motivation. Also good friends that will stop you from going to fast food places can help too.

          Well done on 80 pounds kicked to the curb and on exercising

          Have you started to climb the OWL ladder yet ?

            Very nice, but of course, you weren't doing Atkins and this is the wrong forum to advertise your plan.

              Great job losing the weight!
              You want to probably up the exercise since you've lost 80lbs of weight to move around. As you lose you want to work out more.
              It also makes you feel even better.

                Congrats on losing the weight. I went to subways when I started Induction, but only for a grilled chicken salad with no dressing, delicious!!
                You can get rid of the rest now, you've come so far!!

                  That's me! And as a long-time Atkineer, I can recognize a non-Atkins woe when I see one! The no dinner but some fruit was a dead giveaway........that was a starvation plan.

                    First of all really congrats on the losing weight and such, you've acomplished a lot.
                    But deffinately not on Atkins, the way you describe it.
                    To my opinion you can not gradually get into atkins, you either eat according to the plan or you don't.
                    Doesn't make your losing 80 pounds less impressive though and it's really wonderfull you were able to get your lifestyle in balance !!!!

                        Your "diet" looks like starvation to me, but then, I do Atkins where I don't have to limit myself to a piece of fruit for dinner.

                            Hi, kd! Congratulations on your weight loss! What is your menu now? Are you getting the right number of calories per day for your weight loss to stick?


                            The problemwith this WOE tends to be that we eat too little because we are so satisfied with what little proteins we eat and feel so satisfied. As a result, your body says to itself, "I need only 800 calories a day to survive" and your metabolism adapts. So, say you then eat 1,500 calories for a few days. Your body starts storing those calories as fat, even if it's not an exorbitant amount.

                            If you are exercising, eating right and drinking a lot of water, you will lose weight. You don't want to send your female body the wrong mesage, however. Our bodies are pros at storing the fat cells, and eating too little is a full-out invite for them to have a par-tay in your hips!

                            I'm so glad that you have made a lifestyle change at such a young age! You won't regret it. Just make sure you're eating the right amount of food for your body for the long-term to be truly healthy!

                              Gee Louis..
                              no I am not always so paranoid. And I will be first in line to say I am sorry if I am wrong.
                              However you got to admit that your story looks a bit 'off'. First the link thing..I am impressed that you have advertising in your links at age 18.. then the fact that in your story you say that you lost 80 pounds...start weight 220 and that you currently weigh 140. But in your signature you list your start weight as 160 current weight 152. In that case either one would guess that you are just not a good liar(and I have shown you how to do it better) or that you actually put on 20 pounds since you wrote the first email that you copy and pasted. If the first is true....what a sad person you are. BUT if it is the second one then maybe you should give Atkins a try the right way and you won't regain again. The menu you posted is not healthy and you are not feeding your body enough fuel...you are just setting it up for regaining. Why don't you buy the book and do it in a healthier way. Your body will thank you. And the list would support you. Best of luck to you no matter which way you choose to live your life.
