  • Any DDR fans?

I haven't played my DDR in several months (it was killing my knees) but I think I will take it out tonight and challenge DH to a DDR duel!

    Anybody anybody??

I don't know what DDR is, but the site is blocked by our company. That is only the second time I have tried to access a site that was blocked so am I to assume that this is an "adult" type game?

Heck no it isn't adult! LOL!

You can play it at an arcade or on playstation 2.

It is Dance Dance Revolution.... where you jump around on little arrows on a mat and follow the little arrows on the screen.... with techno music....

      You've probably seen it before...

Well, bejeweled is a computer game... this is actually a physical fitness game.... it works your legs and butt like you wouldn't believe!

I see that now..... THAT reminds me of the old nintendo games..... remember when the ORIGINAL nintendo came out with that Power Pad? (coz they thought kids were getting fat and lazy_...).. where the 'joystick' was a big vinyl pad on the floor a little like a checkerboard and the moves on the games were done with your feet.... standing up... shuffling or jumping around?

they even had a running game for 2 people where you could 'race' on the power pad... running in place

oh yeah, my husband and his brother had powerpad as kids.... they were INSANE with it... they found a way they could race with only moving their feet a tiny amount so it was not a workout. DORKS! LOL!

my niece and nephew had one..... didn't take them long to figure out how to 'cheat' at things as well... probably why it was kinda 'short-lived'

That looks really fun. I so suck at dancing I'm sure I'd be a total spaz.

I have a DDR, I do enjoy it. I love, love, love dancing so I went out and got the mat and the game for one of my rewards. I didn't move up in the levels and was stuck on beginner, I also didn't really like the music all that much so maybe that was a problem.

Hmmm, I might have to pull that sucker out again. Thanks for the reminder.

Yes, most definatly! I really want to be the cool mom, the one that all of the kid's want to hang out with. LOL, that way I can keep an eye out on my own.

DDR is so much harder than it looks! It's a lot of fun, though.

I got DDR several months ago and loved it. And it is great exercise. I guess I stopped doing it cause I was no good at it, and could never seem to advance beyond beginner. I was just thinking about getting it out again the other day.. Maybe I will try it again this weekend!!
