Look at the twit and simply say "sugar is poison"

I said that in Trader Joes yesterday and a small child looked at his mom and said "sugar is poison mommy?" I must admit I felt a little bad! Like he thought rat poison!

fawn-- You aren't far off. Drugs are poison to the body, and sugar is treated as a drug in our bodies.

If drugs are poison, then so, too is sugar by that very reasoning.

One of the shirts beckons onlookers to, "Be a man" and "Eat bread", while most of the others take a more friendly tone. Surprisingly the shirts are only available in sizes up to large.
                  lol. That says it all!

Anyhow, I wouldn't let something a teen who is most likely parrotting back some stuff her friend's mother's brother's girlfriend's best friend's dentist's wife's grandmothers' dog sitter's ex-husband's girlfriend's third cousin once removed said bother me.

I absolutely agree. Sugar is posion and should be treated as such. Have you ever read the book Sugar Blues? I'm reading it now and it details the history of sugar so on and so forth. I recommend this book!

Oh man, I gotta get that book, Fawn!! Who hates sugar as much as I DO??

Sugar is the sweetest poison of them all. Not only will it rob you of your youth, your energy and your health, it solely supports the growth of cancer cells.

Now, doesn't that make you want sweets?

I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! Who is she to tell me how to run what I eat? Her mother offered some kind of apology by saying "shes really into disliking atkins" as if she was embarrassed by her daughers words, but it was not an apology of any kind. I was quite miffed about it, and when they came to check out, I walked away and said "sorry break time, someone else can help you" even though it wasnt. Yeah it was pretty petty of me, but I refuse to help people that are rude to me. It wasnt even like I was talking to this girl!

Here is a link on some reviews for you Betty. It is an amazing book!! The very interesting thing about this book is how much money from sugar government receives. So.......now who trusts the fda? The other appealing attribute of this book is it was written by someone who is not associated with low carb which further supports my arguments that I so dearly love to have with people regarding my low carb lifestyle. Sugar is not a food and I have my book to support this!

I wonder if she'll also love all that fat she'll accumulate once she gets older, starting with the "freshman 15" pounds she's bound to get when she hits college.

It's funny how you can walk thru a supermarket with a trolley full of chocolate, biscuits, fizzy pop and cakes and no-one stops you and say "hey that's bad for you".
