  • back at college and..

    10 pounds to lose..but..my mom forbids me to do atkins again. i did it once and lost some but when i was at home for break she is like NOOO u cannot.. its sobad for me.. just try slimfast. I have 2 mmnths before I see her. i wanna drop 10. Im trying slimfast but I have screwed up..even today..and go for fatty things. w/ atkins i feel in control. I already got my meal plan though and its just like points bc I will be eating slimfast instead of breakfast and lunch as opposed to going to the dining hall and getting atkins foods. maybe I shold switch but my meal plan is not....easy w/ atkins..and Ive tried it for like 2 days every so oftejn once and maybe ruined my metabolism..who knows. i'd try it again..what should i do? maybe it will keep me organized and not eating candy...my mom would die though.i wont tell her. I have like 10000 slimfast bars here haha..plus id have to go and buy salad dressing cheese..bla bla money money...can i lose 10 pounds? can I! In 2 mnths? ahhh. what about my events on thurs. SUSHI day w/ the friends...

    I know nothing about using Slimfast bars so have no idea how to (or even if you can) blend them with Atkins.

    The only advice I can give would be to keep up your exercising and avoid sugars and processed foods.

    You dont have many pounds to go so maybe you can switch to the maintenance phase of Atkins like pregnant Atkineers have to do?

    You would be getting all the good carbs like whole grains and low GI friuts etc and the exercise would allow you to lose weight and tone your body so you get smaller even without losing pounds.

    Did you ever discover your carb level for losing? If so perhaps you could start at that level and maybe try eating at that for a while?

    Oh - and in case your last question gets lost in this thread - maybe start a different thread asking what other Atkineers order at a sushi bar?

      Lauren, I've been a mod here for a long time, and based on your history of posts, I'd say your problem isn't with your weight or the difficulty in doing Atkins, but a serious emotional problem. You and your mother need to visit a psychiatrist, not a diet center.
