  • Pimping Atkins... buying another book

I FINALLY found a cool little place.... a small restaurant inside a convenience store where they don't give me grief about "NO BISCUIT"

the little lady in there just so happens to have gone to my church before.... she noticed I was losing.....

she asked how... my first reply was just 'low carb'

she said... but you eat just meat?

I told her no... leave off bread and sugar mostly for me....

that usually does it for most people..... but she continued....

what about cholesterol? I assured her that most people have a cholesterol decrease... but she should check with her doc.

WELL... bottom line is... she was not one of those nosy people about to bash me... she sincerely noticed and wanted to know how.....

so.. I'm buying her a book at wally world today.. and in the morning when I go in to get my sausage patty... I'm giving her the book....and telling her that I didn't do a very good explaining...... the book can do it better....

I hope she'll check with her doc and give it a go...

I've done the same for at least 4 other people...... buy the book and let them decide... and I tell them if they decide it's not for them... pass the book on

    Great suggestion, Peytonn!

Why not also slip an induction card in each book as a bookmark! It has the address to ADBB in it for extra support. I have a lot of people borrow mine! *lol*

Congratulations on getting noticed, girl! You are an Atkins poster child for success!

the paperback isn't very expensive.. less than $5 here...

giving up sugar is hard for me.. but it works.. I do believe in it!!

will I be like some people... completely totally atkins perfect for the next umpteen years... heck no... I know I'm an imperfect person.... but I also know I'm trying to get closer this being an absolutely permanent WOE every day...

Re: Pimping Atkins... buying another book

A while ago someone posted that if they see a copy in a charity shop (thrift shop) for a cheap price they buy it to have some spare copies to give away.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
