Non-Scale Victories

My weddings rings have been loose for a while, but recently they've become so loose that I've been afraid that one day they'll come flying off! I keep remembering MoochieCat's story of her ring landing in the toilet, and so I hold my rings on tight wherever I am, *especially* in the bathroom.

[Where can one buy one of those ring thingamabobs (what are they called again?) to ensure my rings don't come flying off? I don't want to resize until I'm at goal.]

I'm officially DONE with stretch jeans! I swear, those things are pure evil - they hide those pounds you gain, and make you think you're a smaller size than what you actually are. I haven't been able to fit into my old pairs in a while now, but this weekend, I'm actually giving them away entirely. Hurray! There will nevermore be stretch pants (well, unless they're sweatpants!) in my future!

Yes, everybody!! Take it from me and don't go too long without getting your rings resized!! lol
It was only about $15 each to get mine done.

I wear the jeans with the stretch to them, but they look like normal jeans and they don't have the 'elastic' waist. I'm loving them!

One of my non-scale victories is that when we eat out and I am trapped in a maze of dining tables and chairs, I no longer see people parting like the red sea when I go to leave because they know they've got to give the fat lady room. I know I can either walk straight through or turn a little sideways and I can slip through spaces that I'd never be able to slip through before. It was pretty exciting the first time that happened.

Hi!

I've found those ring attachements at Walmart or your favorite jewlery store Once upon a time my rings were lose enough to have sized....good thing I didn't, or bad But I've seen those attachments that can slip inside the rings...but I don't know how much they are.

Good for you....get rid of those cheater pants. Regular jeans will tell you if you are gaining or losing. As far as the ring problem. I have experienced the same thing. You can go to Wal-mart or other dept. store and go to the jewelry department and they have plastic ring sizers that will help.

Run don't walk to get the resizers. Several years ago I had dropped some weight and hadn't realized how much and I lost my deceased Grandmother's wedding ring at my brother's wedding reception and didn't even notice it until the next afternoon...it was much too late then. I still haven't told my Mom....so sad!!!

Run don't walk to get the resizers. Several years ago I had dropped some weight and hadn't realized how much and I lost my deceased Grandmother's wedding ring at my brother's wedding reception and didn't even notice it until the next afternoon...it was much too late then. I still haven't told my Mom....so sad!!!

Aaaaackk! I definitely don't want that to happen!

Here's a good non scale victory. I can't wear any of my bras they are slipping and sliding all over the place because they are too big around!!!!!! I have to go buy new ones SOON. haha Today I have an old one on I haven't been able to wear since before I got pregnant.
