Elsie-- you think that's bad. I have another one.

I spent a good 30 minutes last Halloween just laying on my back in bed with a 1-pound bag of Snickers on my face just inhaling deeeeeplyyyyyy .

    It was snifffffffff
    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
    snifffffffffffffff
    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hubby heard this, walked in, shook his head and walked back out.

We never revisited the topic again.

Re: What keeps you from cheating?

I have had two cheat days since I started this woe on 7/24/05. Both days made me sick and I felt guilty. I want so much to be proud of myself for sticking with it. I also want my husband to be proud of me too. He is a wonderful cheerleader for me. I know I can do this. The ADBB is one of the biggest helps I have to keep me from cheating.

Re: What keeps you from cheating?

I have been "doing" Atkins since November 03. and have only cheated once. Christmas Day 03. I felt so guilty about that (I had a handful of small chocolate). Anyway I felt so guilty I havent done it since.

Also I would hate to let myself down now, after losing so much weight.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Oh and like TTdriver, I keep a copy of my before and during picture in my wallet. My GF laminated it for a little present for me.

Reading the turmoil people go through when they repeatedly cheat and stay stuck or lose and gain over and over. It is one of the things that's kept me on track- reading other people's constant back and forth. It seems exhausting, tiring, tedious, self defeating, and torturous. No thanks.
