Re: Difference in Weight
I got a Tanita digital scale for Christmas. It uses electrical impedence to measure bodyfat and total body water percentage. It's true that fluctuations in water intake or the moisture in the skin of the feet can throw off the bodyfat %, BUT as long as I'm taking in close to the same amount of water, the number should be accurate (relative to my start %). The water % has increased from about 48% to a steady 51.5% since I started drinking about 150 oz a day.
Wannebethin, the difference in weights is probably due to the tension difference in the springs of your scales. I would go to the gym and use a balance to get your true weight and then compare to your new scale to factor in the difference.
Good luck - you are a great inspiration.
