  • ...back from cheatin'

Hi everyone! Wow, can I just tell you how happy I am to see you are all still here for me!! I left and tried South Beach, then a low carb way of Weight Watchers and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. Looks like I will be RESTARTING induction (again). I regained about 5 pounds and want to scream! The whole climbing the Rung Ladder just freaked me out, so I strayed. Any comments are welcome.

I am glad you're back It can be scarey to move forward but, in the end if you move forward you are guaranteed success in the Atkins WOL. I know you can do it. It's a new way of thinking it's a total life changing thing not just a quick fix as many think it is. I ahve come to realize though my Journey that this is a life change and I am changing my life so that I can see life. Does that make sence. I am sooo glad you are back I am here in any capacity of support I can give. If you work your Atkins Exercise and move through the rungs you WILL do it I know it.

((((((HUGS)) and Cheers to you for your first step in the rest of your life.

kugel!!! I still remember your cashier thread! It gives me giggles to this day!

Welcome home! If you don't want to climb the OWL rungs just yet (I'm a-scairt of OWL too), you can always start back on induction to get back into ketosis and then move to extended induction or modified OWL (induction while climbing the OWL rungs).

I'm not knocking SB or WW, but both are higher-carb diets and I'd starve or crave like crazy on either one! For me, extended induction is a safe place for me.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

You can do it! Don't be afraid of OWL. Many will continue induction far too long. The body has incredible memory. You can actually do yourself disjustice by not moving up the ladder. This also tells your body you are not in starvation mode (there are many different forms of starvation mode even while eating) While doing an extended induction is a good idea for those who have 75-100+lbs to lose, it is not a good idea for those with less than 50. Remember as well that dark green veggies speed up your metabolism so add add add! If you're afraid of say...nuts, seeds, low carb tortillas, only allow yourself those things a couple days a week to start. Many people who are stalled as far as I have seen on this 5 year journey are either eating too many calories for their activity level or they are in some sort of starvation mode for not properly adding good carbs.
