How about a forum especially for questions pertaining to food? That way, I'd have a better place to put this question:

What's the Atkins recommendation on sun-dried tomatoes? Dried foods are almost always more sugar-laden than their fresh counterparts, and tomatoes are already a high-ticket item on my 25-carb daily budget. Should sun-dried tomatoes be considered an acceptable food for the diet? if so, what stages is it appropriate for, and can you give me some quantity guidelines?

    Thanks!
    -Sabrina

I use sun dried tomatoes only as a flavor enhancer because their flavor is very strong. So for me one or two of the tomato halves does a good job of flavoring something like a quiche, stew etc.
