  • I waay slipped up...motivation please?

    I've lost around ten pounds...
I'm nearing the 140s and whenever I hit 150-151 I get so excited and vow never to touch sugar again...then inevitably binge within the next twelve hours. I have no problem losing what I gain within a couple of days, but rrrrright when I'm about to pass the 150 mark I crack and balloon again.
Please please please does anyone have advice/motivation/a kick in the *** for me? I need it so badly...I know that I'll feel and look better once I just get past this hurdle, but I keep coming up with excuses for myself...I want to cry...

    There, that should do it.

Can you pinpoint what's making you want to binge? Is it stress? Boredom? Whatever it is, FIND ANOTHER WAY TO DEAL WITH IT. Until you do, you leave yourself wide open to repeat this sabotage.

My suggestions would be, when a binge looms, GO FOR A BRISK 30 MINUTE WALK. Or take a shower. Or, brush your teeth and floss (who wants to mess up clean teeth?) Or, drink a quart of water. WHATEVER....JUST DO SOMETHING UNRELATED TO FOOD. Exercise is a great appetite suppressant, particularly cardio, so I tend to recommend it first!! Once you conquer the binge, build on that success and know that you CAN succeed. For alot of people just getting over that FIRST binge makes you realize you can do it from then on!

COME ON, YOU CAN SO DO THIS!

Print your post out and tape it to your refirgerator (or the cupboard that tempts you) and really ask yourself if you want to set yourself up for such dissapointment. I promise you it is much easier to stay the course than to deal with the guilt of caving. You can do this!
      Great advice Bety

Great advice from ttdriver. Try to 'out headgame' your head. I agree, exercise is a great thing to do instead of having a sugar fix. You can do this! Congratulations on your success so far.
