    Re: Flax

Thanks Mr. Administrator!!! Now I know why they picked you for the job!! Very informative and true..what a difference between 1 week of whole flax seed on my salad everyday versus 1 T ground up in my Mock Danish!!! I can't wait to try the other recipes. I will be keeping this a part of my day I think!

      Re: Flax

BTW I now add four tablespoons of water to the recipe which makes it a bit lighter in texture and also makes it rise a bit more to make a slightly larger 'loaf'.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thanks Elizellen! I edited the recipe to reflect that.

Zarabelle...I only have birdseed...don't think I am quite ready to add them for mixed seeds yet. What do you use?

            Re: Flax

Well that was pretty easy to make!!! Tastes much better than that oatmeal stuff let me tell you!!! My loaf was really high in the mic...about an inch over the top but after it beeped it sunk and came out about 1- 1 1/2 inch high...is this right?? Also I used extra large eggs.

              Re: Flax

              Hi

Don't go for the birdseed LOL! I use something called salad sprinkle which is a bag of mixed seeds. I then sprinkle some poppy seeds on top too. It is just like a seeded loaf (or at least, I can't remember it tasting any different).

With regards to the height of the bread, mine always ends up about 1.5 inches high too. I took to slicing it lengthways and having it as a sandwich - yummmmmy.

              Happy experimenting x

                Re: Flax

I think I am having a reaction to the baking powder??? Stomach is all bloated. Only new ingredient I have had today is that. But it is such a tiny amount...I had one slice(cut 4)for breakfast and it didn't clue in with me until I was eating my second slice at night that that is what it could be. I don't know if it is possible though...got another thread going on it. Hope not...but what else could it be??
