  • sooo demotivated

hey....I am so demotivated because I am just not seeing results its been about 2 months maybe more and I lost about 10 lbs in total..( but i have lost 30 lbs all together from a previous low fat low cal diet)..I felt that the 10 lbs was not that much but I was still keeping up with the diet trying to have a positive attitude and jogging 2-4 miles everyday.....and even if I wasnt losing much I felt good I have not cheated once since the beginning ....Im exercising which I have been doing since the beginning except for a two week period where I stopped my jogging but im back on track now and have been for the past three weeks....I feel a little lighter and more energized but i really cant eat that much during the day or else i dont lose any weight I could barely eat 3 meals without gaining and IM NOT CHEATING at all!! Its just like my body does not want to lose...then tonight i go shopping figuring i have came a long way since 30 lbs ago or at least it feels like it and my shopping experience has to be a little more enjoyable then it used to be...well i quickly found out it is not...I just feel like after all this work nothing is happening...is atkins proven to work on everyone i wouldnt see why it wouldnt be working for me......whats going on???

    Re: sooo demotivated

Well, I can not tell you what's going on without knowing what you are eating. I know it is better to eat smaller meals and snacks throughout the day to keep your body from going into starvation mode and keep your metabolism up. You also don't say how much you have left to lose either. You just lost 30 lbs on the low fat diet and 10 lbs may be nothing to sneeze about to you but I only lost 7 lbs total in over 2 months. Weight comes off slower the closer you get to goal.

Your best bet would be to post in the Review My Menu forum to see if you are eating the right things. Calories do count too and I just found out that I am eating about what it takes to maintain my weight, although I am still losing but verrrry slowly.

Sounds like you get plenty in the excercise department.

yes i think i will have to start posting my menu I mean maybe i am doing somehing wrong that I am not aware of...I have bee sticking it out and I will continue becuase I enjoy being on Atkins and I really find it easy to stick to...I also thought that people tend to lose soo much in the first couple of months I guess 10 lbs is not really abnormal...thanks for the advice

We need more info on you...your age, height, start weight, current weight, goal weight. If you put that into your signature, it would help us.
Just go up to 'User CP' and put the info in your signature box so it shows up in your messages.

If you are within 20 pounds of goal, your weight loss is going to be slow..that's just how it works. If you aren't, then posting some menus would be helpful.

Have you read this about the nature of weightloss?

Have you had your thyroid checked? It could be a medical problem, especially if you're saying you can't eat without gaining weight.
