I would like to have one. I am on other fruit rung. 37 effictive carbs a day this week. I can't find it at fitday...only canned variety. What do I enter there?

I answered my own question. I love the internet!! I never knew what a tangerine was...I figured it was some kind of citrus fruit but in never occurred to me that it could be a mandarin orange. Fitday has mandarin oranges, canned. And then they have tangerines. A 3.5 oz orange has 8 carbs and 2 grams fiber. So that is exciting!!!

Here in Japan Mandarin Oranges are in season and they are so sweet and juicy. Nothing better. Well actually the Persimmons are also in season but they are like eating pure sugar so I try to ignore them and not eat them.
By the way, your doing absolutely great. Congrats on the weight loss and the committment and everything. Also thanks for being so supportive on this board. Your awesome

Thanks!! I enjoy interacting on this board!!

Oh to pick them right from the tree! That would be so nice. We live in the Okanagan in British Columbia so we have all sorts of fruit trees. But we do not grow oranges of any kind here.

Interesting blog. What an exciting trip you got to take.

Not really a mandarin orange.. but I've been eating half a navel orange every morning for the longest time now (along w/ yogurt and a sausage link). Lately I've been finding these large South African oranges and they are SO FREAKIN GOOD.

Sounds yummy! I got to pick a late strawberry from the garden today. It was so good...especially since I was doing Atkins this summer and wasn't on the fruit rung. Gotta love climbing the rungs!
