  • Fitday.....? (help before I throw my computer out the window)

    I've been trying to use fitday since I started, on and off. I can't quite get it down though.....are you supposed to add everything in yourself, or just look it up and add it?
    I'd really like to use this site so I have an accurate number or what i'm eating. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

    I just look up what I ate, put in my portion size and add it...making sure to put every little tiny thing that I eat into it. I don't skip anything. If I can't find what it is that I ate, I usually just find the closest thing to it. For example, I had soft boiled eggs yesterday, but put in hard boiled because they didn't have a soft boiled option. I don't know if that's what you're supposed to do or not, but that's the way I've been doing it. If I can't find the item and I have the nutritional label, I add a custom food. I usually check the nutrition label on the things I eat vs. what it says on fitday and change the values if they're different.

      I am the same way. Usually- prime example--- I always have just put in whatever kind of meat I ate raw. Well, I just got fitday pc and realized I had added some mucho calories on there- when I was putting the beef raw on there all the fat is considered eaten, not drained. But normally I add raw foods and then the butter, etc. And yes, customizing a foods is a great idea!

        I add all my ingredients in raw. Just because it doesnt always show it cooked the way I do it.

          Me too!
          I found that at first I used to put in, for example, a 3 egg omelette with ham and go by their figures till I looked at the ingredients and saw they were adding margarine whereas I always use butter, and milk which I never use!

            I'm the same way, mostly add as raw and use of custom foods a lot, just so I'm sure it's accurate!
