  • I'm so happy.

    I am SO happy.

I'm about to go grocery shopping with a friend who is going to re-start Atkins. She's lost 70lbs doing it in the past, but she's on a lot of medication and tends toward severe depression, so she gave it up and regained the weight she lost plus some. She went clothing shopping with me yesterday though and saw me fitting into size 16s when two months ago I was wearing size 20s, and I think that helped.

I printed out the wallet card for her and also the OWL information, along with the OWL Power of 5 - 5 net gram foods thread to help streamline the process for her a bit. I'm also nagging her to death to come join us here.

Wish me luck! I know this WOE would be so so so good for her health issues and I love her enough that I want to help make her healthy.

Ailinn, that's wonderful, and I know we all hope your friend does as well as you are doing! She's way ahead of the game with having a supportive friend like you on her side, and it's going to be so fun for you to celebrate all your victories.

I have some people in my life I would love love love to be there with, but if someone's not ready, there's nothing you can do, right?

Good for you...have fun with this...remember to be excited about everything..no matter how small the victory.

      Ailinn,

I did the same thing with my Mom the other day. She wanted to lose 20 pounds and I went and told her all the groceries to buy. However, she has slipped some. Just getting her to give up the regular Mt. Dew was a feat in itself, but she is doing the South Beach diet now and it seems to work better for her and her food preferences.
