After really reading here and letting things sink in a bit I gotta tell ya......I am absolutely beside myself! Do you folks realize how special you really are? You all stepped out on faith from a "personal crumble" and "disbelief" at one of the lowest points in your lives most likely accompanied by depression and said after looking in the mirror one day in THIS state of mind and said, "It's time to get it done" and ya did just that! I commend you for your personal efforts as I find you an elite group of people rarely found. I'm proud to be a part of this board. I can't find words for what I think of you folks for what you have done to share the hope in some who feel hopeless and lost with themselves. There is nothing better feeling than helping another I know. Self esteem is one of the many puzzles of people that is vital to health in many ways I believe, and hope is the medicine to help one to see it again within reach! good for you all, Roo

Whatdaya think ADBBers? Can we keep this guy? He seems like a real good egg - of course, with this group around here, he might find his egg-self being eyed up for a mock danish or a scramble

I agree with you, Rooster (I call my daughter "Roo", calling you "Roo" would just be .....weird. LOL). This group is pretty amazing and the accomplishments of the collective group are nothing short of WOW!

I agree with you 100%, Bob!
When I first came here I had that same epiphany - that the board was full of regular people just like me...and they had faced the reality of their situation and taken back their lives. If they could do it, then *I* could too!
It was very inspiring and motivating, and I'm happy to have found the board, and I'm very pleased that you've found the board too!

I completely agree with you. I've met a lot of people in my life who I consider friends, but the people here are at the TOP of my list. They say you should always hang out with people who encourage you and give you support, not the ones who make you feel inferrior. Well, this is definitely a place where anyone can fit in and be accepted. ADBB ROCKS.

Nice post Roo'! I have personally benefitted from the patience and guidance on this board and try to pay it back by being encouraging to others. After all a person has no right to expect any help unless they, too, are willing to help others. You gotta give to recieve..you know...

Indeed this place is amazing and I would deffinately not be where I am now without it!
I used to be on another board and that was just not nice, people here are waaaaay more possitive and to me that is what it's all about, there is enough negativeness in the world as it is and so I am reaaaally happy I found THIS place!!!
