  • Finally got up the nerve to step on the scales

    I finally got up the nerve to step on the scales this morning. and I sure didn't like what I saw. When I was on Atkins before I had lost from about 280 down to 190. Now this morning I really find out just how much I had put back on. 47.5 pounds have found their way back to my body. I'm up to 237.5 again. I've been back a little over a week now and I'm doing so much better. Cravings are leaving and I'm in a routine. But it took me this long to finally step up and find out just HOW much I had put back. Oh I knew that it was a lot, I knew that from the sizes that I had to wear now, but now I know exactly just how bad it is.

    Now that I've finally know it only gives me more incentive to stick to it better than I ever have before.
    At almost 300 pounds, Less than 200, October 2005 putting it back on!

    Way to go, girl! I gained over 40 over the summer, too, so I feel your pain! You'll be back in onederland in no time! {{{Dianne}}}

      Dear Bluegrass:
      Just put one foot in front of the other and keep going. I would dare to say that most of us have been where you are at least once or twice and in my case, more times than I care to mention. You can do this. You proved that to yourself when you did it before so you've know you can do this. Sometimes, I wish scales had never been invented. I feel just like the lady on the commercial that has the scale chained to her leg and drags it around where ever she goes. Keep posting here and I'll come by to encourage you.

        Bluegrass,

        First, congrats on getting to onderland the first time. You can do it again. You are here and that proves you want it this time and I am sure you will keep it off with vigilence and hard work. Good luck!

          Bluegrass, don't look backwards, what was done, is done, now move forwards to start losing that weight again! You can do it, as you did it before! Maybe review dandr book, I constantly refer to it, even after 9 months.it will help refresh your memory. And come here often for support and encouragement, this is a great board!

            good for you facing the scales. now write down everything you felt seeing that number knowing you had already worked so hard to lose those pounds and keep it close should you ever feel tempted to jump off again. On thing that help me was getting rid of all the too big clothes when i got to a smaller size. If you have to go buy a new outfit cause you are gaoing weight your reality check it right there as you get out your wallet.

            Happy low carbing.
