There are so many variables! It would be really difficult to gauge how much anyone could lose in any amount of time. Losing 6 pounds per week would be a pretty difficult feat, for even those among us with more weight to lose. Just do your best, exercise, stay true to this way of eating, and in 6 weeks you will have achieved a lot! I know that I look forward to watching your progress! And your picture is lovely. As Cleo said - no-one could say if it is possible for you or not, but go for it!!
As long as you promise us you will not throw a fit and fall off the Atkins train if Christmas arrives with a far lesser achievement

Aim for a cheatfree 6 weeks alongside the weight goal and sure as eggs is eggs you will be seeing less of yourself by 25th December

I agree with the others. Go for it if you want, just don't be disappointed and give up if you don't make that goal. What you will have accomplished will have been worth the effort, even if it's quite a bit less. After all, 6 pounds a week means that you have to burn up 21,000 more calories than you take in. You'd almost have to run a daily marathon to manage that one!

Nevertheless, I wish you all the luck in the world, and warmly welcome you to ADBB!

            best of luck...

i bet $200+ on 30lbs in 10 weeks and barely won... sure the first couple weeks are easy, but after week 3... <shrug>

IF i had to bet, my money would be on the "dont pass" line... prove me wrong!

I wouldn't say it's impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it, purely because the first few weeks weight loss is mainly water weight, not fat weight. The real weight comes off then, thats when you'll see the difference in your body without the scales.
I reckon you could lose 20lbs no problem, but I wouldn't be so sure as to 30lbs.

Not that it should stop you trying! If you have determination, who knows?! But you'll see a DEFINITE change whatever the scales say
