  • Why being overweight/fat doesn't feel great.....

I'm looking forward to the day when I can feel completely relaxed when I'm sitting down, and not have this stupid tire around my belly /waist!

I feel that being overweight just does not look very proportionate to anyone! Whether you have weight on your face, or around your midsection, etc

Health reasons! Being overweight feels unhealthy and doesn't feel good. Its bad for joints, and our feet. Imagine our feet and carrying that weight on our feet all day long!

Clothing!! When we shop for clothing in the plus sizes, many times I wish I was smaller again or cannot wait to get smaller again and not worry about the shop NOT having my size and the style/ colour, etc that I want. Always have to do with whatever the few particular "fat ladies" stores have chosen for me, can't just go into any store and pick whatever colour and style I want. Can't wait for the day when I'm back into regular sizes again!!

Yes Deb, so true about the clothing stores! But i do have to admit it will be nice to be able to go into any store and wear whatever I want, regardless of colour, size, etc.

Clothing is a big one (no pun intended ) for me. I HATE fat clothes. There's such a limited selection and most of it is ugly. I cannot wait to wear cute clothes again.

Getting through small spaces is another one. I have to climb into the back of my minivan to buckle two of my children into carseats. It's a struggle for thin people, it's darn near impossible for me.

I also don't want my kids thinking that being fat is okay. I want them to know that exercise, eating right and staying healthy is important. If I don't lead by example, how can I ever expect them to believe those things? Knowing the example I've been setting for them thus far feels awful.

And, on a very vain note, I feel ugly. I want to go out with girlfriends and have guys look at me again. I mean, I'm happily married, but it's always nice to get catcalls once in a while Never even getting a second glance is an awful feeling for me.
