  • Mesotherapy

A friend of mine is considering Mesotherapy and is trying to convince me to go as well. It sounds great, but as we all know, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

I read a lot about it on the internet but am looking for more relevant information as the info on the web is a bit one-sided.

Has anyone gone for this? Does it work? Are there any side effects? etc.

Here's just one link of many that I found on this

I kind of have to think the same as you, if it sounds too good to be true..etc etc..

If a person has the disposable income to easily afford this, and they don't mind getting hundreds of injections, as the article mentions, then why not try it....but it certainly doesn't sound like it will work on it's own..they mention diet and exercise along with it.
I'm pretty skeptical though....but then, I'm pretty tight with my money...lol

      Re: Mesotherapy

I know a lady who did it and lost 60 lbs in a very short time. she told me she was losing like 5 lbs a week. after she hit her goal she still had to go back for maintenance shots.
my personal opinion--if you don't have to work for it then you won't appreciate it as much when you finally get there.
and atkins is all about lifestyle change- not a quick fix so you can still eat the crappy food.
for me- when i reach my goal weight i am d*mn well going to stay there because i worked my @ss of to get to it--just my opinion though.

This is one of the first articles I found and one of the quotes by Naomi Lawrence completely freaked my DH. "No one says exactly what they put into the (syringe)"

My hubby is a scientist and won't listen to reasoning about stuff like Botox. There is no way he will let me be injected with an "unknown" substance.

I suppose if I do decide on doing this, I will NOT go back to my "Before Atkins" way of eating, I will NOT stop exercising and I will definitely have to find a way around DH!! LOL

Singer Roberta Flack is the most famous celebrity to endorse the procedure. She told ABC's 20/20 last year that she lost 40 pounds after a year of treatment, although she also dieted and exercised.

So, you pay all this money, go through hundreds of injections, and STILL have to diet and exercise?

Seems to me, we've chosen a better way, and less painful/costly.
