  • Job interview/Brain Fog

    Hey ya all,

I have a very important question to ask. I have a very very important interview with a good company on Wed the 16th and I have to take a test in order for me to even get the job I have to have 97% accuracy on this test. I was going to start Atkins again on Monday but I am afraid that it will give me brain fog like I got last time. This job is very important to me since I am unemployed from relocating to NC. Should I wait until the test for me to start? And No I'm not trying to postpone starting this diet. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

since you know your body and know already the answer you need to hear why do you proactice carb harm reduction while you are waiting for test day and cut all refined processed carbs from your diet like white flour and sugar and anything having them in it. then you would be sort of backing into premaintenance phase of Atkins.

      Sonia,

If you know you will have brain fog, and hey we all need a job to live right, I would say start cutting out the refined carbs. Also, exercise sends more oxygen to the brain so make sure you start exercising now to send needed oxygen to the brain to help with any brain fog.

Sonia, if I remember right, in DANDR it is recommended that a person starts Induction during a less stressful period of their life eg around TOM, no during a move, holidays etc. As per some of the suggestions, why don't you try to keep it low-carb but push the official start of Induction till after your interview?

Thanks so much for all the replies! I really appreciate it. and I think I will take the advice of just starting off slowly and cutting some carbs for this week and start walking on the treadmill.

              Thanks again!
