    After hearing about what the media had to say about it as well as word-of-mouth, I despised the Atkins way of eating and everything it stood for - until I actually read the book and realized that everything I knew was wrong in terms of what the program actually entails. Reading the book unfortunately seems to be necessary for most people who are adamantly against the program ... because, well, you can't very well abhor a person, place, or thing based entirely on untruths! Just politely and gently request that your physician, dietician, or nutritionist verse him/herself on what Atkins is about. Doing so could only lead to good things. Good luck!

      LOL I know you are frustrated BUT next time somebody gives you that water line you got 2 replies Yep and it is pounds L will never see again

      AND here is the biggie EVERY DIET for weight loss results in water weight loss cause on every diet in the world your body to make up for the cals it doesn't get burns its glycogen reserve first thyen it turnes to stored fats and proteins.

      Now is your ADBB PRES CHALLENGE up to date so I can post you as a woo hoo done your exercise Atkinseer?

        You guys are the best . Well I am back on my AWOL and dont feel that i am missing anything foodwise . I have so much information to take in on this thread . Thank you so much .lol 2big I will get my exercise log sorted now .
        I am going to get myself a bottle of water and take in all the info posted on this thread.

          My doctor was ANTI~ATKINS. But I read the book anyway. I decided it was a plan for me. I tried it, against my doctors so called professional opinion. I don't regret the decision I made, at all. When I went back to my doctor about six months later. He was shocked!!!! Had the nerve to ask me what I changed. I told him I was doing Atkins. He had this blank look on his face. All he could say was "Keep it up."

            Dr's Dietitions, Person Trainers ETC. You will run into those people everywhere and what they do best is tell you what THEY THINK. HMMM a trend here there are a lot of people other there who are still so uneducated and so out of the loop they do what they do casue that's what they were taught nothing elese. They were taught Atkins was bad so that's what they Preach never mind all the evidence supporting this WOE and Well, I know what I say to them. My doctor was a total non beliver he told me Now don't you do that woe Same with my Pharmacisit I went in wanting some suppliment advicea nd like most out there told me I should be eating carbs to run my BODY and carbs were the fuel source for running. Also told me I would never run a half marathon on the amout of carbs I was injesting. LORD did I ever PROVE him wrong and well Sweety that's what you're gunna have to do prove them wrong show them what Atkins does for you they'll be the ones in disbelif 6 months down the road when they are looking in awe at your new body and you tell them hey look at all the water weight I lost ROFL.
