    Hi Murray -

Pork rinds are generally induction safe. Just be sure to check the ingredients on the label to be sure there's nothing illegal in them. Also, pork rinds are high in sodium so be careful that you don't over do it.

    Hope this helps.

      Hello Murray,

Pork rinds are awesome and legal. However, they do have their drawbacks. They have tons of salt in them typically. Also, they ususally have MSG, which is derived from beets thus is a weird form of sugar. However, they are totally not sweet and I don't think much is added.

They are loaded with fat. I know, but Atkins is about eating fats. Well, Doc Atkins said don't count calories, but he never said calories don't count. What I mean is that for a treat every once in a while they should be fine, but for me all that fat (cause hey who can eat just one ) added to the "normal" Atkins fat will keep me retaining water and stop my weight loss.
With that said, they are certainly preferable to a Big Mac from the Golden Arches of Death.

We got another truck driver who just posted yesterday about all the great thinks he keeps in his truck like real food and veggies. Pork rinds are legal but they are still junk food. We had a memeber back in 2003 who was a member of the Duke study and she told us Dr Atkins talked with the Duke docs and informed them they shouldn't allow them to have more then a cup of porkrinds a day for induction snacking.

How about geting acooler for your truck and snacking when you get hungry on some real foods that are legal for your phase.

Also remember you only eat/snack when you are hungry and you stop when your hunger is satisfied.
