  • Just A Question

    Why is it when, I work my but off that I don't lose inches seems I am at a stand still for 1 month now with my inches lost and I am getting somewhat frusturated. Why does the body do this. Is it getting ready to lose more. I dunno I don't understand why the body does this and I haven't weighed myself cause of my challenge. SO I go by inches and it's getting frusturating week by week not losing any. GRRR. I am working my but off I am up to running 43 miles in a week. I have exercised 1300 minutes since November 1st LORD what do I gotta do to get things moving again. I tried upping good carbs now I am gunna lower them again. HMMM> I guess I ened to find what works for me. I would be happy if there was 1 inch somewhere but nothing. I know something has to be going on my legs look like sagging piles of lumpyness it's gross I hate it and the skin is sagging something that totally embarasses me to no end. WHat kind of body am I gunna have if this doesn't shrink. I'm soo sorry but, I am really distressed here about everything. LOL

    NO I"M NOT GOING TO QUIT NOPE NEVER.

    Just would like to know what I can do.

      Thanks Sweety I needed that. My body is changing and I just feel like it's getting sooo Ugly. I just don't like it right now

        well lets look at your enegry balance your output

        used to be: you were doing BFL lifting and running

        now: you are mostly running an a little lifting

        so does the cals burned by the new more miles run exceed the cals burning in your former workout?

        then you have the fact that your body fat is a much smaller amount on you now so every ounce and inch represents a much bigger change in you! 92 pounds gone was a lot of body fat so one ound and one iunch was a smal change in your toal body but now IT IS A 257% DIFFERENCE FROM WHAT IT WAS.

        THAT IS A LOT OF CHANGING. hang in there and know you are getting heaslthier even if the scales don't validate your hard work.

          Ya, the scales suck that's why I ahve been reluctant to do any weighing at all. I suppose a small bit of inches would really make me happy but nothing for a Month.

          I am actually Burning more calories from running then I was when I was weight training but, I am thinking of upping my weight training again and see if that help.

          Thanks 2BIG always a source of huge inspiration.

            just remember one pound now represents to your body 257% more of a change then it did when you started are you working 257% harder cause thast would be just enough to maintain it on a daily change. it takes time and hard work to make the changes when we have gotten smaller and we were spoiled as super heavy weights with the big pound numbers. We just didn't think about them in terms of reative to our total body change being the same as 1/4th a pound to a flyweight.

                    Yes I could totally do that couldn't I cause right now I feel Just that well in my legs and it's almost TOM so I am bloated and etc. LOL You know how those Hormones work. AHHHHHHHH!!!

                          Sarah, I think everyone experiences this stall and everyone gets frustrated, I remember when 2big was going thru it and LOL, she was a bear to live with.
                          I just know that the weight will start disappearing again and when it does, the next step is GOAL. Just don't let it get you down cause that is when we start to let our guard down. Visualize that during this time, your body is getting healthier and your muscles are toneing.
                          What percentage of fat are you eating. You might want to try to lower it a bit.

                            Arggh,

                            Those hormones do it everytime. I put on three stone in my head before and during TOM and that's not counting the extra water.

                            Sarah, you are an inspiration to all of us. You have some much strength but you are allowed a wobble you know!

                              I feel your pain Sarah. I have been experiencing the same thing. For over a month now, my pants are fitting exactly the same. I won't go off plan, but it is frustrating. I am just telling myself that 194 is a whole lot better than the 250 I started out as. Cyber hugs!
