I'm new to the forums, but not to the Atkins diet. The first time I did it was about five years ago--long before the market was saturated with low carb products and Keto strips were hard to find!
Either way, I've been going at it pretty well for about a month. I even had a recent business trip to NYC where I was surrounded with all of my favourite foods--pizza, french fries, ice cream, etc; and I didn't cheat at all! I was so proud and so frustrated at the same time.
I've been averaging a weight loss of about five pounds a week--haven't been doing as much working out as I could, but still pushing myself since I do a fair amount of walking. Anyway, this week I was a bit more sedentary, and still haven't broken that twenty pound barrier regardless of all that NYC walking =( down from an average of 5 pounds to 2.5. I was hoping to really have a bang up week right before Thanksgiving where it's going to be overwhelmingly difficult to stick to the plan in a family house surrounded by nono foods.
Anyway, just wanted to share my frustration and disappointment with some others I know feel my pain! My cravings are absolutely non-stop. Ugh.
