  • The little things that count

18 months ago, after loosing the bulk of my weight, I had my wedding ring reduced three sizes. While the work was being done I wore on my left hand the signet ring my mother bought me for my right hand for my 21st Birthday.

At that time it was too tight to go back on my right hand, but could be worn on the left. (Most people have larger size fingers on their dominant hand.)

Now my wedding ring is getting to the point where it will have to be further reduced, and my signet ring will go easily on the finger of the right hand for which it was bought 35 years ago.

Mind you, I have a way to catch up with Betty (ttdriver). Just look at her latest siggy pic in her running gear with a bare midrif.

But I'm catching you up, Betty.

To those of you just starting the Atkins programme let me say,

    Stick with it: it works!

Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Keep shrinking Labarum, you are doing a fine job and I'm sure your DW doesn't want you looking like Betty

yep it does work, but only as much as you work it to make yourself the healthier smaller person you are going to be.

    Happy low carbing.

Any snow on the south coast, Eli?

That's what make challenges more wonderful. As a man you have the advantage, even if Betty is ahead right now. That makes you both on pretty level ground in the long run. I loooove a good challenge, especially between a man and a woman! Everyone wins in the end, and it's a lot of fun to root for the both of you!

                  HOW CAN IT BE??

Betty is such an inspiration. Here I am feeling a bit down because I'm going to be 33 in April, and she is excited about turning 50! You go girl!

                            Brian good luck as well!
