    Re: I win, I lose

I'm so sorry for your loss i lost my dad in May to a sudden heart attack so I can understand the void it has suddenly created in your world.

COngrats on the shrinking you are doing. Our Atkins is our new way of life and as a way of life it must include our spirituality and the rituals of it. it does us no go to arrive at goal smaller and healthier if we are suffering from spritual malnutriton. Partake of communion and let your soul be nurished and don't worry about the carbs in it just as our Jewish members partake of a Sedar, our Islamic memebers celebrating Ramadan partake of the iftar and our wiccan memebers their ritual cake. Nurtish your soul and grow your christianity as your Atkins shrinks your body.

Prayers for you and your family

      Oh Jobu

Your story reminds me of my husbands. He too lost his father and grandfather at a very young age from heart disease. Our sympathy to you my friend. Take good care of yourself emotionally, physically and mentally. Keep up the good work on your own success for a long healthy life.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad three and a half years ago. I was 22. I'm grateful for the time I was able to spend with him. I have five younger siblings who were not lucky enough to fully "grow up" with his wonderful influence in their lives. I hope that you are able to find some peace and solace in this difficult time.

I'm new here on the boards, but I wanted to tell you how sorry I am about your loss. Nothing can replace a parent's place in their child's life, no matter how old that child is. Cherish your memories that you have of him!

I wouldn't worry about the communion either. We have it once a month at our church and I let God take care of those carbs.

(((Jobu))) So sorry for your loss!!! You are inspiring in your dedication to this WOL and know that if you could make it through the last week as strong as you did that you will be very successful. You are doing wonderful work towards making sure the same does not happen to you and I know your wife and kids are more thankful than you know!!
