  • 3 months on OWL/4 months total

    I posted this in OWL..but thought I would post it here also to encourage those who are thinking of moving on to OWL that it can be done!!

    Well...I just finished my third month of OWL. I have lost a total of 40 pounds even. I am on rung 9. While I don't eat from all the rungs all the time. I do partake regularly of winter squash, milk and mandarin oranges. I have tried other stuff..lived on LC Chili for almost a week...but eat the above the most. Water plays an important roll on this WOE...I try to get in 12 cups a day minimum. Here is the break down of my months.

    2 weeks induction=12
    2 weeks extended induction=3
    1 month OWL=9
    2 months OWL=8
    3 months OWL=8
    Total= 40 pounds.

      You are so right, 2Big. After my many months of being off the wagon, when I returned I started out with two weeks of strict re-induction. I then jumped right back up to where I'd left off -- Rung 7, berries and melons. I'm very happy with my progress, and glad I didn't decide to go for an extended induction period. For me, at least, being in OWL helps to pervent the boredom of induction. I know some people are afraid of lossing the control that induction offers, but as long as you keep accurate track of what goes in your mouth, OWL works -- and works well!

              I'm really glad you posted this! EXCELLENT RESULTS!! Congratulations!

              Alot of people become carbphobic and fear moving out of induction, but there's no reason to!!

              This is a 4 phase program!!

                Thanks! I agree Betty. That is why I post my success so that others know that it can be done. If you had told me in August that I would lose 40 pounds in 4 months I would have told you it couldn't be done. In this instance I don't mind at all that I was wrong...LOL!

                      Congratulations Elsie!

                      You have done brilliantly - so encouraging to hear of someone who is losing well and obviously still enjoying herself doing it.
