    which should i be taking?

    Re: vitamins... supplements?

I think it really depends on you personally. Do you have any special health considerations? For instance, I'm diabetic, so I take supplements that help me control my blood sugar like Chromium Picolinate, Fenugreek and Cinnamon. Tell us what conditions you have, if any. The one thing Dr. Atkins recommended was a daily multivitamin without iron.

      Hi
      Welcome to the board
Have you got a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution published 2002 in the USA(DANDR 2002)?
If so there is a whole chapter on it - Chapter 23 (page 301 in my copy - but if not the same in yours look it up in the index under 'Nutritional supplements') which will explain what you need and why.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

If you can afford them, don't go for el cheapos cause usually thats what you get, cheap. Lots of folks say Centrum has a good one, but make sure it is iron free cause you don't need any iron in your system.
I also take Essential oils, gingko and CoEQ but I am RETIRED and need the extra boost.

I only take Costco's brand of Centrum Silver (iron-free). It is one of the few iron-free ones that I have come across.

A good multivitamin without iron will get you started. Dr. Atkins Vita-Nutrient Solution is a good read ..

I guess I missed that part of the book. Why don't we need iron? I was once diagnosed as anemic and still find that my limbs fall asleep very easily.

I just started taking GNC Woman Mega but I have such a hard time taking pills that I bought Viactiv. They are the chewable that are like a piece of chocolate.
I just confirmed that their are 4 carbs and 2 sugars. Any thoughts on that type of vitamin verses the pill type?

I give Viactiv's (multi's and calcium) to my dd, but I can think of LOTS of things I rather spend those 4 carbs on in my day!

You might want to check http://www.drugstore.com to see what kind of sugar-free vitamins they have that might be chewable.

I used to have a hard time swallowing pills too, but now I take all my supplements (including my "horse-pill" multivitamin) with a 32 oz cup of water. I save the last 16 oz for after I swallow the last one. That way they all get completely washed down and I don't have that "stuck in my throat" feeling.
